31DC2013 Day 30 - a tutorial

Here is the nail art I did based on a tutorial. The tutorial was done by Chalkboard Nails, who does awesome work. The tutorial I did was for Beauty and the Beach. As you can see I mixed up the fingers, it was not done on purpose. I just started the white on my index and then went 'opps, oh well'.

I'm still happy with how they turned out.

31DC2013 Day 29 - the supernatural

I wasn't sure where to go this with one. I'm really not big on aliens and ghosts, So I went with these cute unicorn nails. Inspired but professionalDQ on youtube, she has some very colourful nail art tutorials and some cute unicorns.

I know there is a lot of 'out there' fashion. I would have attempted something crazy but in case you haven't noticed I like simple designs. So here is my inspiration, it's from the Joe Fresh Fall line, I guess. I thought it was pretty.

31DC2013 Day 24 - a book

I really don't read that much. I always seem to find something else to do. But I am about half way done this book. 

The Cuckoo's Calling by J.K. Rowling but published under the pseudonym Robert Galbraith. Honestly, I never read the Harry Potter books and part of the reason I picked this one up was that I liked the cover. 

My nails don't quite live up to the actual cover but I liked how they turned out. 

31DC2013 Day 23 - a movie

These might be a bit of a stretch...let me know what you think.

The movie is, One Direction This is Us. The angle I took was their tattoos. 

On the thumb we have Louis' stickman skater. Index is Harry's lock and key. Middle Liam's chevron?! My ring finger is for Niall, he doesn't have any tattoos, or none that I am aware of so I did a little shamrock because he is Irish, a heart and a 1D. The pinkie is after Zayn's Ying-Yang sign.

Obviously I took their simpler designs as inspiration, but I think they turned out good.

31DC2013 Day 22 - a song

The song I choose I was kinda of obsessed with at the time. Don't worry, I've gotten over it. It was of course The Fox by Ylvis. Haven't seen the video or heard of it, you can find it here.

31DC2013 Day 21 - a colour*

*I added a 'u' because I am Canadian.

The colour I used is For Audrey, it was a colour that I wanted for a long time. Finally got my hands on it [thanks Gen!].
I did the some what obvious choice, a Tiffany's box and bling.

Sorry these are late. Work got crazy, I did have them done, just didn't get them posted. Excuses, I know. Sorry!

31DC2013 Day 20 - water marble

I find water marbling hit or miss. Some of these nails are good some not so good.

I've got both hands featured again, the first pic is outside, with flash I think. It was in the spring so they looked super bright.

31DC2013 Day 18 - half moons

Dear Purple, I love you but why you hate nail art?!

I'm not trying to make excuses but the strings were perfectly white before topcoat and the balloons and a whole 'nother story!! They look good in these pics but the purple bled through terribly!!

This is another design I think I could do better and will do again in the future, birthdays?!

31DC2013 Day 15 - delicate print

Nail stickers are not cheating, right?!

I don't think I would be able to do a free handed delicate print. I really don't use stickers very often, just sometimes when I am lazy. 

Sorry I was late posting the last few days,  I had the pictures I just didn't have them water marked. I do apologize, they next few days will be on time and the 'inspired by...' section will hopefully be on time too.

31DC2013 Day 14 - flowers

These might be considered a cheat but I really like them.

Cheating because, I painted them just for the pictures, didn't even topcoat! [I know the scandal!] They turned out really cool though, well I think they are cool.

I had a different manicure in mind also with zebra stripes buttttt I couldn't find the pictures. :( I know I've seen them recently but couldn't find the folder. 

Don't get me wrong these are cute too. This is two days in a row of both hands!

This was my first experience with stripping tape, naturally it was a 'try all the designs' work of art.

It's busy but still tasteful.

Love, love, love these gradient/rainbow nails. 

They were inspired by this tutorial by CutePolish on YouTube. So fun and soo easy!

Rainbows!! I originally had another design planned out, until I found these ones!! I completely forgot I had done these!

Not much explaining to do for these, the pictures speak for themselves. rainbow dots, with a light blue [Cinderella but Sinful Colors] background...

Metallic, another style I don't do often, but managed to find these silver crackle nails.

31DC2013 Day 7 - black and white

 Day 7 - black and white, this is a design I actually wore not that long ago.
These pics are taken before clean up. Honestly, I am too lazy to clean up, it just pick off the messy-ness the next day. I never said I was professionally, nor do I pretend to be!
Anyway I really liked how these turned out, black and white look so classy!
